The Aia della Colonna is located 12 km from Saturnia and a couple of kilometers from the ancient village of Usi, nestled in the centuries-old quiet of cypress trees along the first, high, hills that give rise to the slopes of Mount Amiata. We are in the province of Grosseto, in the town of Roccalbegna, an interesting town of medieval origin where the Albegna River, the most important river in this area of the Maremma, has its source. With about half an hour’s drive you can reach the summit of the Amiata and with 50 minutes to the sea in the Argentario area. Maremma is a land of a thousand faces, Aia della Colonna is situated in a particularly favorable position for all-around trips and excursions, with distances that never exceed an hour by car. You can range from Mount Amiata to the Argentario Coast through ancient villages, vineyards and olive groves and areas of vast historical and archaeological interest.
